"A Sparkling Performance"
"Yours Personally" was the title of this year's venture for the Cambridge Christian Musicals Society. Based on four characters and their thoughts the musical centres around the basic message of Christianity, that of God's all conquering love. However, that is not to say that this play could only be enjoyed by Christians as there was not a hint of "Bible bashing" the message that you took away from the performance was a personal one.
To single out any of the cast in this 'sparkling' performance would be unfair. The atmosphere from the main actors to the chorus to the band to the crew was just electric. There was real emotion, passion and humour (even if that humour was at the expense of hard working people like BA's at Homerton). All that should be said is that the acting was of a very high standard, and the singing was stunning.
This musical was a pleasure to watch and a brilliant success for the Cambridge Christian Musicals Society. Yours Personally had a cast and crew who quite clearly believed in what they were doing, and who they were doing it for.
